NJoy Ecigarettes Will Run Super Bowl Ad for Second Year in a Row

For the second year in a row, NJoy will be running commercials during the Super Bowl. NJoy and other electronic cigarette companies, such as Blu and Logic, are taking advantage of the stalled regulation when it comes to advertising ecigs. Whether it is on the radio, or on TV, ecigarettes are being advertised more and more. That is not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, I think advertising ecigarettes is a good thing- even for a small company like Bloog.

Here is the actual Njoy ad:

Miguel Martin, President of Logic disagrees with such advertising. He suggested in a recent Time article that such advertising only antagonizes the critics and gives them ammunition to work with. In the article, he states, " When you run a Super Bowl ad, [you] put yourself and the product in a bad spot."

However how Mr. Martin feels, the attention that ads such as the NJoy ad, or the Blu ad with Jenny McCarthy,  raises awareness about electronic cigarettes and stimulates the conversation on the subject. It gets everyone talking and moves the discussion forward. The controversy also puts more pressure on the FDA to address the issue and vote sooner than later....hopefully.

To be clear: e-cigarettes should only be used by tobacco smokers. We do not want children using them and we do not want anyone who has never smoked using them. But we do want to put a Bloog e-cigarette in the hands of everyone that is currently smoking a tobacco cigarette for we feel that it is the best alternative to tobacco cigarettes.

So as you route for either the Broncos or the Seahawks during the game, look for the NJoy ad among all the other fantastic commercials during the breaks. If you're vaping an e-cigarette, you may not have to go outside to smoke and actually be able to watch it.
